we are happy to announce the International Systemic Research Conference in Heidelberg, March 2017. In addition we would like to send out the first call for papers.

Here are some of the conference features and reasons for you to participate:
Whom will you meet? The conference brings together academicians with research-oriented practitioners as well as experienced with young researchers.
Practice and research: The conference will closely link systemic practice to systemic research.
Bridging several fields of systemic practice: Participants bring with them their experiences in systemic individual, couple, group or family psychotherapy; in business coaching and organizational consultation; in education, social work, social policy and related fields.
Diverse backgrounds: Participants have their theoretical background in systems theory; constructivist epistemology; narrative, postmodern or dialogical thinking and schools of thought. Their research may be qualitative, quantitative,or both.
Famous presenters will be Susan McDaniels (APA President, on Family Medicine), Peter Fonagy and Eia Asen (on Mentalization), Bruce Wampold and William Pinsof (on Psychotherapy Research), Sheila McNamee (on Constructionism) and Renos Papadopoulos (on Refugee aid), among others.
International: The conference hopes to attract participants from many different countries, and is supported by several collaborating international associations. Among its supporters are (in alphabetical order): The American Academy of Family Therapy (AFTA), European Association of Family Therapy (EFTA), Chinese Mental Health Association, Systemic Therapy Branch, German Society for Systemic Therapy, Consultation and Family Therapy (EGSF), Helm Stierlin Institute (hsi), Systemische Gesellschaft (SG), among others.
Justice in Participation Fees: Fees will strongly vary by country and professional status to support participation of colleagues from low-incomecountries, and university students.
Early registration pays: We offer reduced registration fees. To benefit from them, please register early, as registration rates will increase.
Lively variation in event formats: The conference formats will be vivid and rich in variety. Formats vary between keynote lectures, debates, symposia, research methodology workshops, poster session, experimental events and informal gatherings.
Last but not least – Heidelberg: The University of Heidelberg, founded in 1386, is the oldest in Germany. The city’s surrounding mountains, the river Neckar, its historical castle and old bridge provide an impressively beautiful scenery. Additionally, the town hosts a lively cultural scene.
